Al-Farooq Omar bin Al Khattab Mosque and Center in Dubai organized a special event to commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The event saw a large turnout of citizens and residents, alongside several school students, who gathered to celebrate this blessed occasion that embodies the values of tolerance and compassion championed by the Prophet.
The program featured a range of activities, including two lectures delivered by Sheikh Dr Fares Al Mustafa, the Imam and Khateeb of the mosque, and Sheikh Abdul Rahman Darwish Al Marzouqi. They discussed significant moments from the Prophet’s life and how to benefit from his teachings.
Student Lujain Aisa Al Harthi delivered a speech in English about the universal human values established by Prophet Muhammad, followed by a speech from student Khamees Mohammed Bakr from the Emirates International School, who addressed the role of youth in promoting these values within society.
One of the highlights of the event was the recitation of the biography of the Prophet by Imam Al-Barzanji, presented in a heartfelt manner that reflected key moments from the life of the noble Prophet. A group of students also participated by reciting praise for the Prophet, which added a spiritual atmosphere to the celebration, engaging the audience.
In his remarks during the event, Abdulsalam Al Marzouqi, General Manager of Al Farooq Omar bin Al Khattab Mosque and Center, expressed his gratitude to Mr Khalaf Al Habtoor, the founder of the mosque, for his support of the event. He emphasized the importance of instilling prophetic values in the younger generation, stating: "Our celebration of the Prophet’s birthday is not merely a religious occasion, but a commitment to uphold the values of tolerance, compassion, and justice that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) brought to our society."
